Features still to come...

The basics of the report card system are working well. There are a few features that have yet to be activated, but should be live by the next report card round winter '06.
- fonts expanding/contracting in comment box. Currently font size is set to 8 or 9 point, pretty small! We haven't yet set the paramenters for the comment box to adjust the font sizes.
- automatic printing. Currently site tech coordinators are printing manually, but once we go full school we will need the automatic printing function to work. Programming for it is in the works.
- login using email name/pasword. We ran into a glitch when trying to have the report cards use the email name/password to check user credentials when logging in. If you were an administrator it worked, but for people down the line (literally in this case) the logins didn't work. The report cards couldn't see further down the line in our network. This fall we worked around the issue by creating logins/passwords for the beta users. An upgrade to the software the report cards run on promising a solution and should be released soon. Whether it works, and if we are charged for it (and how much) is yet to be detemined.

A few teachers at Beach suggested putting the student's teacher name and year on the inside of the report. This looks like a good idea, and is an easy addition. Pass your sugestions on too!
